Bicyclists, walkers raise more than $12,000 for homeless
McHENRY – More than 60 bicyclists and walkers raised more than $12,000 in the fifth annual Pedal (or Walk!) for PADS event Sept. 15 at Moraine Hills State Park.
The money will go to help maintain McHenry County PADS homeless services, a program of Pioneer Center for Human Services.
“We are so grateful to the men, women and children that came out, giving of their time, to help PADS serve the homeless of McHenry County as well as aid in the fight to end homelessness,” Larry Ferrarini, event chairman, said in a news release.
