SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Nearly 120 volunteer emergency responders from ten jurisdictions in Illinois will put their skills to the test this weekend.
The Illinois Emergency Management Agency is hosting the third annual Prairie State Community Emergency Response Team Challenge in Glenview.
The daylong event will feature a variety of skills. They include the abilities to locate, transport and provide medical assistance to injured people after a disaster. Freeing people from debris, identifying evidence and extinguishing small fires will also be demonstrated.
