Towne Park to close as part of bypass project

ALGONQUIN – A nearly two-year closure of Towne Park will begin Monday.

The closure is necessary for the construction of the Western Bypass, along with a new 100-space parking lot, realignment of Crystal Creek, construction of a new pedestrian bridge, and integration of the park with the Prairie Path recreational trail.

The park is expected to be closed until the summer of 2014.
