Boy, 14, charged with murder in Chicago
CHICAGO – A 14-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of a 17-year-old who was shot in the head as he walked home from his grandmother's house on Chicago's South Side.
The Cook County State's Attorney's office on Saturday approved charges brought by police detectives in the shooting, which took place Wednesday night.
The boy has been charged as an adult, but police are not identifying him because he's a minor. He is to appear in bond court Saturday.
