CHICAGO – Chicago is investing more than $65 million in schools, parks, mass transit and businesses as part of an effort to revitalize areas of the Near South Side.

The money is coming from City Hall as well as Chicago's transit authority, park district and school district.

Projects include the $2.5 million rehabilitation of the Big Shoulders Brewery in historic Motor Row. The Chinatown Public Library will also get a new branch facility complete with modern technology and more space for community and children's activities.
