Chamber names 10 'Chapters' honorees

The McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce is honoring 10 people 60 and older who have contributed much to the community through their work accomplishments, volunteerism, mentoring of others or being a builder of families.

The Chapters Luncheon – "Stories of the Wise, Witty and Wonderful" – will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at McHenry Country Club, 820 N. John St., McHenry.

Chapters honorees are Tom Aquilina, Curt Bremer, Ron Bykowski, Tom Gelinas, Susan Low, Bill Markison, Rosemary Marto, Jack McPhee, Richard Paegelow, and Leonard H. Thennes. 

Entertainment will be provided by Mary Ellen Heelan of Heelan Music, and "Off the Top of My Head," an interactive music and comedy show featuring hats from all eras presented by Kathy Ewing.

Event sponsors are Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Crossroad Care Center of Woodstock, Heritage Woods of McHenry, Fox Point Independent & Assisted Living and Hearthstone Communities.
