Dinner to benefit Collier House
McHENRY – Collier House will host a spaghetti dinner to raise money for its Wyoming-based retreat house.
Collier House is named in honor of Army Spc. Collier Barcus of McHenry, who was killed July 8, 2004, in Samarra, Iraq. Collier House offers a free, safe retreat for families affected by addictions, war and grief. It is a nonprofit corporation and donations are tax deductible.
The spaghetti dinner will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at the McHenry VFW, 3002 W. Route 120, McHenry. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 4 to 9 years. Children 3 and under eat free.
Besides dinner, there will be raffles, silent auctions and live music.
