BARRINGTON – The Michael Joseph Foundation will celebrate its 20th anniversary at its annual fundraising event, “The Roaring Twenties Gala.”

The event will be Saturday on the Sanfilippo Estate and will include docent-led tours of the Place de la Musique followed by cocktails, dinner, live and silent auctions, a raffle and live entertainment.

The Michael Joseph Foundation is dedicated to providing transitional housing to families in crisis.

The foundation has helped more than 600 families in local counties.

The annual gala has raised more than $1.5 million and is hosted by the group’s executive board and funding committees, which are made up of volunteers.

The Barrington-based foundation not only provides housing, but also works with Catholic Charities, CEDA, WINGS, the Kenneth Young Foundation and Fellowship Housing.
