CRYSTAL LAKE – Erin Lightfoot and Clayton Rife, both of Crystal Lake, were married in a double-ring ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Crystal Lake. Monsignor Daniel Hermes officiated.
She is the daughter of Lynn Lightfoot of Crystal Lake.
He is the son of Tim and Cathy Rife of Crystal Lake.
Given in marriage by her mother, the bride wore a strapless ivory, fitted-bodice Allure gown with asymmetrical ruching and layers upon layers of chiffon on the skirt.
She carried a bouquet of pink Calla lilies, white Dendros and stephanotis.
Matron of honor was Megan Bly of Janesville, Wis., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Erika Hansen of Dixon, friend of the bride; Chelsey Lochner of Crystal Lake, friend of the bride; and Tessa Rife of Crystal Lake, sister of the bridegroom. Flower girl was Morgan Webb of Bemidji, Minn., cousin of the bride.
Best man was Eric Rife of Crystal Lake, twin brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Barrett Rife of Navarre, Fla., brother of the bridegroom; Adam Rife of Crystal Lake, brother of the bridegroom; and Abe Wathen of Fort Rucker, Ala., friend of the bridegroom. Ushers were Dominic Shababy of Crystal Lake, friend of the bride; and Mike Campbell of Fort Benning, Ga., friend of the bridegroom. Ring bearer was Mason Webb of Bemidji, Minn., cousin of the bride.
The reception was at Turnberry Country Club in the village of Lakewood.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake and a 2012 graduate of Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. She is a high school Spanish teacher.
The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Prairie Ridge High School and a 2011 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. He is a second lieutenant serving in the U.S. Army.
They reside in Tennessee.
