Man accused of threatening to slash baby's throat
SALEM (AP) – A south-central Illinois man is accused of threatening to cut a 2-month-old baby's throat and refusing to let a woman leave the bathroom during a dispute at his home.
WJBD Radio reports that authorities in Clinton County have charged 25-year-old Jesse Gilbert of Wamac with felony domestic battery, unlawful restraint, endangering the life and health of a child and resisting a peace officer.
Police say they were called last week to Gilbert's home after fielding a report of a fight involving a knife.
