Chase leads  to drug arrests

FOX LAKE – Two people face drug-related charges after a brief chase Monday afternoon near Squaw Creek in Fox Lake.

Justin Diedrich, 20, of Ingleside, and Melissa Cole, 25, of Hebron, Ind., each has been charged with unlawful possession of more than 30 grams of cannabis and unlawful delivery of cannabis, Fox Lake police said in a news release.

Police were called to an area near Squaw Creek Bridge on Route 59 about 3 p.m. for a report of people armed with crowbars and pipes in an altercation. One vehicle described to police was found traveling east on Grand Avenue, police said.
