FOX LAKE – Two people face drug-related charges following a brief chase Monday afternoon near Squaw Creek in Fox Lake, according to the Fox Lake Police Department.

Justin Diedrich, 20, of Ingleside, and Melissa Cole, 25, of Hebron, Ind., have each been charged with unlawful possession of more than 30 grams of cannabis and unlawful delivery of cannabis.

Police were called to an area near Squaw Creek Bridge on Route 59 for a report of a traffic incident involving two vehicles at around 3 p.m., according to a news release. A passerby told police that a group of people armed with crowbars and pipes were involved in an altercation.
