Carpentersville to go pink for cause

CARPENTERSVILLE – To support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the village of Carpentersville is going pink.

As in past years, pink T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts will be sold and all proceeds will go to local hospitals to help cancer victims.

T-shirts cost $15; hooded sweatshirts are $25.

To support breast cancer awareness, village employees who buy shirts will wear them while working from Oct. 15 through Oct. 31.

The public is encouraged to participate and can order shirts until noon Friday at Carpentersville Fire Station 1, 213 Spring St. Cash payment is required when an order is placed. Credit cards will not be accepted.

The plan is for shirts to arrive by Oct. 15.

For information, call Fire Chief John Schuldt at 847-344-7300.
