Letters to the Editor

Fair reporting?

To the Editor:

I have been through numerous presidential elections. However, it has only been in the past few that I have really become aware of some major reporting issues that are frustrating.

I would like to be an informed voter. I want to make my decisions based on all of the information available. Unfortunately, I am finding I have to do my own due diligence to get the full story. Why doesn’t our mainstream media fairly report all sides in an election?

The media attacked the Republicans for the dialogue Clint Eastwood did at the RNC; yet Madonna’s apparent intoxicated ravings for President Barack Obama (viewable on youtube) never made the news? Off the record remarks by Mitt Romney are leaked and splashed as headlines. However, on David Letterman, President Barack Obama wasn’t able to answer Letterman’s questions regarding our current national debt. Obama is running our country and doesn’t know how much debt we have? Where are those headlines?

These are only the first of my many observations, and I will continue on my quest for the full story since I cannot depend on you.
