Girl scout troop making birthday bags

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

CARY – Girl Scout Junior Troop 1176 is collecting donations to make birthday bags for needy families.

The birthday bags will be donated to the Cary-Grove Food Pantry and given to families unable to provide birthday parties for their children.

To help, people can drop off contributions at the Cary Area Public Library through the end of the month.

The troop is looking for plates, napkins and forks, in multiples of eight, invitations, ready-made goody bags, party decorations, such as streamers, balloons and banners, boxed-cake mix, frosting, candles, and large birthday themed gift bags.

For more information email troop co-leader Amy Stefani at mom2bin02@yahoo.com.
