LAKE BARRINGTON – Lake Barrington Academy of Stars, 22102 Pepper Road, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 12.

The academy provides quality child care, early childhood education, before- and after-school programs and summer camp. The academy's curriculum promotes building self confidence in a holistic manner, cognitively, socially, emotionally, academically and spiritually.

Lesson plans and activities include math, science, early literacy, writing and the arts. Private piano lessons also are an option.
