I recently paid my Marengo water bill. I have a rather small home, two bedrooms, one bath, and have two adults living in it. I had a garden that I quit watering mid-July. The water bill I paid was $240.

I limit shower time and have cut down on loads of wash. I quit watering the garden, and yet my water bill goes up every single time I get my new bill. A co-worker has a daughter who lives with her husband in Woodstock. Their home is slightly bigger and they didn’t have to stop watering their garden. Their bill for three months was $66.
