Oslance: Savings Card benefits Chamber Foundation

Save money while getting a head start on your holiday shopping and join in the fun on Saturday, Oct. 13, at Gordmans in Algonquin.

From now until Oct. 13, purchase your $10 Savings Card for just $5 from the Chamber Foundation Algonquin/Lake in the Hills, located in the chamber office. The exciting news is that 100 percent of that $5 will benefit the Chamber Foundation.

Since 2005, the foundation has awarded annually two $1,500 scholarships to area senior high school students, with plans to fund future programs for the community.

On the Oct. 13 g-Thanks Community Day, guests will also receive gift bags from Gordmans filled with many fun items (while supplies last). When shoppers bring their Savings Cards into Algonquin Gordmans on Oct. 13, each Savings Card purchased allows you an opportunity to enter into a drawing for a $500 Gordmans shopping spree. Shoppers may purchase up to 20 Savings Cards using one card per merchandise item.

Gordmans Savings Cards can be purchased in advance at the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills chamber office, 2114 W. Algonquin Road, Lake in the Hills. Gordmans Savings Cards also may be purchased at the Gordmans Algonquin store, 1500 S. Randall Road, on Oct. 13. For more information, call 847-658-5300 or email info@ALChamber.com

Recently, the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills chamber opened up advertising opportunities for the 2013 community publication, the Hometown Guide. Every year in January, the chamber produces a 36-page, full-color publication which includes a complete business member directory along with community and business-related information which residents and business use all year long.

What makes this publication different than others? It is promoted and produced by the chamber which helps to fund the chamber programs and community. With more than 22,500 copies delivered in January via the post office, this is an incredible benefit to our business members. Visit www.ALChamber.com for more information on the Guide.
