WOODSTOCK – Three Woodstock residents with lengthy criminal backgrounds were arrested today after authorities found guns and drugs in their home, according to McHenry County Sheriff’s police.

Lee M. Cruz, 27, has been charged with three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, two counts of unlawful possession of firearm ammunition by a felon, possession of certain dogs by a felon, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

A third resident of the home, Colleen M. Loud, 22, was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

As a part of an ongoing investigation involving ongoing gang-related activity, members of the sheriff’s office as well as Lake in the Hills, Huntley and Carpentersville police departments executed a search warrant Thursday morning at a home on the 9900 block of McConnell Road in unincorporated Woodstock.

Authorities found a semi-automatic weapon, pistol, two revolvers, numerous round of ammunition, a digital scale, and other drug paraphernalia during the search, as well as 3.5 grams of cannabis, according to a news release. Animal control also removed two pit bulls from the home.

Cruz already faces robbery, mob action and battery charges relating to an incident in September when a woman was robbed and beaten by three men in an unincorporated area of Woodstock.

Riley was most recently charged with mob action and battery in August, according to court records.

Three of the suspects were being held at the McHenry County Jail Thursday. Another person was also taken into custody, but was not charged and has since been released.
