Adults invited to make Ojibwe-style snowshoes
RINGWOOD – Have you ever wanted to snowshoe after a winter snowfall, but didn’t have the gear? This year, sign up for McHenry County Conservation District’s “Make Your Own Snowshoes” program and make it happen.
This adult class will run on three Thursdays, from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 25, Nov. 8 and Nov. 29, at the Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park, Route 31 and Harts Road, Ringwood.
Students will learn to make a fully laced, workable pair of Ojibwe-style snowshoes.
