Solve the problem

To the Editor:

For more than 60 years, I have lived on a privately maintained, publicly used, nondedicated road. It is not right for the township to collect road and bridge taxes from me and not provide any assistance in the maintenance and upkeep of the road that goes by my home.

The McHenry County Board has the ability to help my subdivision, along with more than 70 other such subdivisions in McHenry County, to help us stop getting cheated by our township road districts.

Two candidates for the County Board who understand this unfairness and who have indicated a willingness to help solve the problem are Nick Chirikos and Sandra Fay Salgado. I hope others will support them.
