EAST ST. LOUIS – Authorities say a southwest Illinois man has been charged in the stabbing death of his 26-year-old son.

The Belleville News-Democrat reported that Anthony Knight Sr. of East St. Louis was charged Saturday in the death of Anthony Knight Jr.

Police said the two argued Thursday night before the stabbing.

The younger Knight was taken to a hospital where he later pronounced dead.

Bail for the father was set at $1 million. He's being held in East St. Louis but will be moved to St. Clair County Jail.

A listed number for Knight could not be located Sunday.
