Evergreen Park teachers strike continues

EVERGREEN PARK, Ill. — Negotiations to resolve a teachers' strike in the Chicago suburb of Evergreen Park are expected to continue.

Talks over the weekend didn't produce an agreement in the strike, which has left about 1,800 students out of class since Tuesday. District 124 includes four elementary schools and one junior high school.

About 150 teachers and 60 support staff walked off the job after negotiators couldn't reach agree on pay and benefits.
