‘Dearly Departed’ house mystery tickets on sale

CRYSTAL LAKE – The historic Colonel Palmer House will be the host of “Dearly Departed: The Mystery of the Body in the Lake” on Oct. 19 and Oct. 20.

The script was written by Sandy Price and is based on newspaper accounts detailing a major mystery in the 1920s that gave Crystal Lake residents plenty to talk about when a body was found floating in the lake.

The audience will become part of the story as they move through the house and meet historians acting as 20th century residents who reveal the facts of the case. How did the body get there? Who was the victim? Was a crime committed?
