Making a difference

To the Editor:

I recommend that voters re-elect Paula Yensen, Ph.D., to the McHenry County Board. I have worked with and known Yensen for more than six years and can state she is a woman of great integrity who lives her life making a difference.

As the executive director of United Way in Central Kane County, Yensen has raised funds to create programs and services to empower nonprofits to make a difference in the lives of individuals in need. Because of her nonprofit management experience, Yensen understands that many seniors in McHenry County are trapped in homes they cannot afford because of increasing property taxes for homes that have decreasing values.

Yensen also represents the needs of people living in McHenry County because she has walked door to door throughout the 5th District every weekend for months. As a fiscal conservative, Dr. Yensen is opposed to property tax increases and will continue to advocate for property owners in her district.
