Turkey Trot to raise money for hospice

McHENRY – The 2012 Turkey Trot for Hospice, a commemorative 5K to support Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois, will take place today.

The event, which will have chip timing, will begin at 8 a.m. at McHenry East High School, 1012 N. Green St., McHenry.

There will be $200 in cash prizes for top overall male and female finishers. There also will be raffle prizes and long-sleeved race T-shirts.

Strollers and leashed animals are welcome.

The cost is $35 on race day.
