AARP Driver Safety Program offered iin Harvard

HARVARD – Harvard Savings Bank and the Harvard Diggins Library are co-sponsoring the Driver Safety Program with the American Association of Retired Persons.This driver refresher course is especially designed to meet the needs of older drivers. It covers such issues as age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time as well as defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws, and rules of the road. 

The program will be held at the Harvard Diggins Library, 900 E. McKinley St., Harvard, from 12:15 to 4:15 p.m. on Nov. 5 and 6.

The fee is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers. The course is being offered free to military veterans and their families. Seniors successfully completing the course may be eligible for a 10 percent reduction in automobile insurance premiums.
