Crystal Lake man pointed gun at roommate, police say
CRYSTAL LAKE – A Crystal Lake man accused of pointing a gun at his roommate during an argument is to appear in court Nov. 6.
Derek Radesky, 22, of the 1200 block of Walnut Glen Drive, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a shine flasher and unlawful possession of a firearm. Radesky was in the garage of his home about 3 a.m. Sept. 27 when he got into an argument with his roommate, police said. Later, he allegedly went to his vehicle, pulled out a handgun with a laser sight and pointed it at the man.
The gun was found unloaded when police arrived, but ammunition was located nearby, said Cmdr. Derek Hyrkas of the Crystal Lake Police Department. It is unknown what the two men were arguing about.
