Fatal hit-and-run near Cary under investigation
CARY – A week and a half after an Algonquin man was killed in a hit-and-run near Cary, police say they are investigating several tips but have made no arrests.
John D. Fennessy, 22, died after being struck by a car shortly before 3:30 a.m. Oct. 1 in the 600 block of East Main Street near Newbold Road.
Police previously said that Fennessy’s girlfriend lived in the area and that he may have been walking toward Route 14 to meet with friends.
