BARRINGTON HILLS – Firefighters from Barrington and the surrounding area battled a four-alarm structure fire late this morning in the 21000 block of Ridge Road.

The barn fire forced the closure of Ridge Road between Merri Oaks and Spring Creek roads.

Most of the barn appeared to be destroyed by the fire.
