Two years for soliciting undercover deputy

WOODSTOCK – One of two brothers accused of trying to solicit a teenage girl for sex, who turned out to be an undercover police officer, has been sentenced to two years in prison.

Rick Joe Corbin, 46, of Palatine, pleaded guilty to solicitation to meet a child, a Class 4 felony. Other charges, including grooming and traveling to meet a minor, were dropped as part of a plea deal accepted Tuesday by McHenry County Judge Sharon Prather.

Charges remain pending against Corbin in Waukesha County, Wis., where he is accused of sexually assaulting an unconscious person. During a previous bond hearing, Corbin told the judge that he had been convicted twice of felonies and sentenced to seven years in prison.
