Firefighters suffer minor injuries during Barrington Hills blaze
BARRINGTON HILLS – Two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling a Barrington Hills barn fire early Wednesday, according to the Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District.
A total of 33 area departments were utilized to contain the four-alarm barn fire on the 21000 block of Ridge Road, according to a news release. Crews arrived at around 8:20 a.m. and found the structure completely engulfed in flames.
Firefighters were using an ATV to take air tanks to firefighters during the blaze. Tanker trucks also were being shuttled between a Barrington fire hydrant and the fire.
