20 more charges in ‘obit’ burglaries
JOHNSBURG – Twenty additional charges have been filed against a man and woman who allegedly used obituaries to pick targets for burglaries.
Jacquelyn S. Buchholz, 24, and Jason K. Werner, 26, both of 108 Pleasant View Drive, near Johnsburg, were arrested Sept. 21 after the burglary of a Barrington home where they thought no one was home, authorities said.
The owner chased Buchholz out of a window and she dropped her cellphone in the area, law officers said.
