CRYSTAL LAKE – McHenry County College will host a Family Violence Symposium on “Sexual Assault: Developing a Coordinated Multi-Disciplinary Community Approach” from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in the Luecht Conference Center at the college, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.

The theme of the symposium, “Not in My Backyard,” aims to develop a coordinated multidisciplinary approach to sexual
assault.

The event is intended for judges, prosecutors, attorneys, teachers, health care providers, probation officers, law enforcement, social workers, counselors, clergy and anyone who responds to the needs of sexual assault victims and their
families.
