Presidential straw poll part of Woodstock fall festival
WOODSTOCK – President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney are neck and neck in Virginia, Ohio, Florida and a few other states ahead of the Nov. 6 election, but how do the presidential candidates stack up here?
Area residents can visit the 1885 original Seneca Township Hall during the 25th annual Autumn Drive to cast their “ballot” for the United States’ chief executive.
The McHenry County Historical Society will host the straw poll as part of the fall festival. Participants can vote anonymously in an old-fashioned voting booth. Results will be posted periodically.
