Woodstock Walk for Hunger to step off Sunday

WOODSTOCK – The Woodstock Area Community Ministries will hold its annual Woodstock Walk for Hunger today.

Walkers will assemble on the Woodstock Square, with registration beginning at 1 p.m. The walk begins at 1:30 p.m.

This six-mile walk through Woodstock aims to raise awareness of hunger and raise funds to combat it.

The route is stroller-friendly and pet-friendly.

There also is a one-mile alternate route.

All of the funds raised will support Woodstock Area Community Ministries’ Direct Assistance Program, which provides emergency relief to people in need in Woodstock and Wonder Lake.

Participants and donors are encouraged to visit www.wacmgroup.org for information, including online registration and tax-deductible donations.
