Illinois Tollway seeking independent review

DOWNERS GROVE (AP) — Illinois Tollway officials say they want to hire a national engineering firm to review the organization's construction practices and past projects.

Tollway Executive Director Kristi Lafleur says the goal is to determine the best way to administer the agency's 15-year, $12 billion capital program.

Officials are seeking proposals to review everything from contract agreement language to administrative procedures and evaluate past construction projects to ensure they were done right.
