Emanuel says Chicago anti-crime effort working
CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle say a program to involve business and community members in helping to reduce crime has had success over the past year.
It's called the Community Anti-violence and Restoration Effort, or CARE.
At a meeting with business and community leaders Saturday, Emanuel and Preckwinkle said the effort is making neighborhoods safer.
