To the Editor:

I live in an unincorporated part of McHenry Township in McHenry County and pay my taxes just as anyone else. However, I just don’t understand how the township can be allowed to go on being so unfair for so long – the unfairness being that we pay taxes for road maintenance but denied service because we happen to be unincorporated. The burden lies with individuals via association fees.

The McHenry County Board can help us with this issue since all seats on the County Board are up for election in November. Ryan Heuser and John Hammerand are two candidates who have shown an interest in this issue and, hopefully, are sympathetic to our cause.
