Blaze destroys Marengo barn
MARENGO – A barn was destroyed during a Saturday morning fire in Marengo, according to the Marengo Fire Protection District.
Firefighters were called to the 22500 block of Carmack Road at around 1:30 a.m. for a report of a structure fire, authorities said. Crews arrived to find a barn fully engulfed in flames.
The property owners, who had evacuated their home before firefighters arrived, called in the fire, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. The barn housed some old farming equipment.
