Part of Dole Avenue in Crystal Lake closed
CRYSTAL LAKE – Dole Avenue is closed between Route 14 and Oriole Trail because of a gas leak.
The city closed down the road about 2:35 p.m. because of the leak that led to gas going into the building at 470 W. Virginia St., said Fire Department Deputy Chief Paul DeRaedt.
DeRaedt added the fire department is monitoring the scene.
The police department asked people to avoid the area to about 5 p.m.
Nicor is working to find and fix the leak.
