College funding workshops coming up

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

A couple of November workshops will aim to teach the parents of high school students how to finance their kids' college education.

The workshops, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Nov. 8 and Nov. 29, will discuss FAFSA applications, reasons for increasing college costs and money-saving strategies.

They'll be held at the Woodstock Public Library, 414 W. Judd St., Woodstock.

The workshops are put on by the College Funding Team, which maintains that few parents are aware of the funding options available to them. The group tries to educate the public on tools, loans, grants and techniques for lowering college costs.

The workshops are free, but reservations are required. They can be made by calling 847-888-3888 or visiting www.collegefundingteam.com.
