Friends to host book sale at McHenry library

McHENRY – The Friends of the McHenry Public Library will host their annual Fall Used Book Sale this weekend.

The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in the library's warehouse. Attendees should use Entrance "B" off the northwest part of the parking lot; there is no access through the main library, 809 N. Front St.

There sale will feature hardcover and paperback books, movies, music and more for sale.

Sunday is $4 a bag day. A special preview sale for Friends members only will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

For all sales, there will be a $10 fee to bring in a scanner.

Proceeds from the sale help the Friends provide programming for the community and funding for projects not in the library's regular budget.
