Algonquin to hold art open house

ALGONQUIN – The village will have an open house to feature 30 new pieces of public art.

The open house from 67 to 8 p.m. today at Village Hall, 2200 Harnish Drive, is free and will launch of the village's eighth annual Public Art Program.

Light refreshments will be served and artists will be on hand to talk about their work.

The pieces are on loan from the artists for one year and will be displayed at a dozen locations around the village. The public art program started in 2005.
