First-responders to hold drill in Woodstock

WOODSTOCK – Area first-responders will conduct a disaster drill Saturday at Creekside Middle School and other locations in Woodstock.

The drill, which will start at 6 a.m. and last about four hours, will simulate a weather-related incident with multiple patients, Spring Grove Fire Protection District Chief Rich Tobiasz said in an email.

While the drill will start at the middle school at 3201 Hercules Road, it will include other sites and the razing of model homes.

The drill is an opportunity for emergency response units to test patient care, transporting people to hospitals, communication, transfer of command and response, the email said.
