Marian honor students to host Spooktacular Halloween drive

WOODSTOCK – It’s trick-or-treat with a twist – bring donations and go home with some sweets in your plastic jack-o-lantern.

Marian Central High School’s National Honor Society is putting on a Spooktacular Donation Drive from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Eight area agencies will collect donations toward their causes in the school parking lot, 1001 McHenry Ave., Woodstock, and hand out treats to costumed youngsters.

Helping Paws, Brave Hearts Therapeutic Riding and Educational Center, Catholic Charities, Pioneer Center, Home of the Sparrow, Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association, Friendship House and St. Vincent de Paul Society will be in attendance.
