Smart voter
To the Editor:
McHenry County voters have a referendum on the November ballot asking whether elected officials in Illinois can hold more than one elected office simultaneously (double dipping).
Many double-dippers are, or have been, state senators or representatives. Example: Former state Sen. Bill Peterson received $84,000 as a senator at the same time he was receiving $90,000 as supervisor for Vernon Township, Lake County.
