Tips lead to six drug arrests

McHENRY – Six people, including four minors, have been charged with drug-related offenses after tips led to authorities to watch a McHenry home earlier this month.

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office received reports of teenagers buying drugs at 4505 Ponca St., according to a news release.

The Intelligence Led Policing Unit conducted surveillance over three days and arrested four people leaving the address, plus two people who lived there – one of them a minor.

Officers said they seized seized about 36 grams of marijuana, one Ecstasy pill, packaging materials, a digital scale and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.

Charged were Korey R. Arnold, 20, of the Ponca Street address, and Mitchell P. Moore, 19, of 141 Bridlewood Circle, Lake in the Hills. Three of the minors who were charged are from McHenry and the other is from McCullom Lake.
