Blood drive planned
at Algonquin library

ALGONQUIN – The Algonquin Area Public Library and the American Red Cross are working together to save lives with an annual blood drive.

It will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Harnish Main Library, 2600 Harnish Drive, Algonquin.

Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood; more than 44,000 blood donations are needed every day. One car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood.
