Conley seeking votes 
in U.S. Cellular contest

ALGONQUIN – As the U.S. Cellular “Calling All Communities” contest winds down to a conclusion Sunday, students and staff members at Conley Elementary School are making a final plea for support of the school in their effort to win a share of $1 million being donated to 18 schools across the country.

The contest will award $150,000 as the top prize to the top vote-getting school. The next 17 schools will receive $50,000 each.

As of Thursday, Conley Elementary was in 11th place but needs votes to guarantee receiving $50,000.

To vote, visit any U.S. Cellular store and request a voting card. Then go online at http://cacuscellular.com/ and register to vote for Conley.

Contest winners can spend the money any way they choose. Principal Alice Stech said the school plans to use any money it receives to buy SMARTboards for each classroom in the school, which serves third through fifth grade.
